Bradley Beal Takes A Shot At NBA After Being Drug Tested For Back-To-Back 50 Point Games

2 Min Read

Bradley Beal is on an island in Washington. In the midst of injury and roster changes, he is doing all he can to hold down the fort and keep his team relevant until better days arrive.

Unfortunately, those days don’t appear to be coming this season and the Wizards’ most recent stretch is proof of that. Despite being only 4.5 games out of the eight spot, the Wizards have been unable to find any sort of consistency this season.

The only thing that has gone their way so far has been the play or Bradley Beal, which has apparently been so good the NBA had to make sure he wasn’t cheating. Following back-to-back 50-point performances, the league had him drug tested — much to the surprise of Beal.

A trug test, a box-and-one; Bradley is obviously striking some chords. Averaging 30 points and 6 assists on 45% shooting, this type of play has been a common theme for Beal this season.

At this point, players should consider drug tests on honor. Danny Green was screened after going up for a monster dunk earlier this season. Robert Covington was recently drug tested after averaging over 3 blocks in the past 4 games. The fact that Beal got tested after dropping 100+ combined points over two games is no coincidence.

He better cool off, or they might test him again…
