As the greatest basketball player of All-Time for countless basketball fans, Michael Jordan was as close to perfection as any person could get on the court. In his prime, Jordan could do it all — from shooting threes to finishing layups to playing defense and grabbing rebounds, there were practically no weaknesses to MJ’s game. Fast forward to today, decades later, and many long-time NBA lovers still believe that Jordan could probably still be somewhat effective playing today if he really wanted to.
Of course, MJ is not exactly what he used to be, and Brandon Miller reminded the world of this during pre-draft interviews on Wednesday, when he called out the former Bulls star for air balling a free throw in their last meetup.
“It was a cool moment to meet Michael Jordan. I kinda grew up watching him and all the other guys… but meeting him and him talking trash to me is probably the coolest thing ever.”
When Miller was asked to elaborate on MJ’s trash talk, Miller provided some more details:
“Yeah but I have a one-up on him, he air-balled a free throw, so… I have that on him.”

As an 83% shooting from the charity stripe, MJ didn’t miss too often on those shots, but you can’t blame the guy for losing some of his touch at 60 years old. The real question when it comes to Jordan is his future as an owner, and what happens to the Hornets after his sale of the team gets completed.
Michael Jordan Will Have The Final Say On No. 2 Pick
MJ will soon move on from his run as a team owner, but he is slated to make one last decision before leaving. With the 2nd pick in the draft, the Hornets will have their pick between Brandon Miller and Scoot Henderson, and MJ himself will be the one who has the final say.
Based on pure need and positional fit, Brandon Miller is way the way to go as a two-way wing with some size and length. Based on talent and potential, Scoot Henderson is the answer, as his strengths are much easier to see.
Ultimately, only MJ knows which player he is leaning toward with that pick, but if Brandon Miller is brave enough to talk trash against the GOAT, it could say a lot about his ability to handle the pressure of being a franchise player.
