In a segment on “The Inside Story,” TNT analyst Charles Barkley explained one of the biggest perks of covering the NBA: getting to watch basketball’s brightest stars do their thing on the court.

Barkley went so far as to cite that reason as to why his job is the greatest in the world.

“I’ve seen the greatest basketball players in the world as a job. That’s why I call it the best job in the world,” Charles Barkley said, via NBA on TNT. “I was there LeBron James scored 30 straight points. That was incredible. I’ve got to watch Kobe Bryant, one of the ten greatest basketball players.”

Obviously, watching the brilliance of guys like Kobe, LeBron, Steph, and others is a treat for us fans and s[ectators. What they’re able to do with the ball is truly nothing short of spectacular, and it helps inspire greatness from countless individuals.

Barkley, as lucky as he is, gets paid to talk about it. He can watch LeBron dominate the floor and then share how amazing it was for his career.

Love him or hate him, you have to admit it’s a pretty sweet gig. Certainly, Barkley himself isn’t shy about sharing that fact.
