The Denver Nuggets are having a terrific 2022-23 NBA season, posting a 25-13 record, which places them atop the Western Conference standings as we enter the third month of competition.

They don’t make a lot of noise or get all the attention other teams get, but the Nuggets are playing beautiful basketball, and their recent victories are the biggest proof of that.

On Thursday night, they took on the Los Angeles Clippers and demolished them with a 122-91 win, which prompted Tyronn Lue to make some drastic decisions. The Nuggets are going through a sweet moment right now, and it doesn’t seem like any team can stop them.

Charles Barkley Has High Hopes For Denver Nuggets

So much so that Charles Barkley made a big prediction about them, claiming that the Nuggets will finish the 2022-23 regular season as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. During the most recent edition of Inside the NBA, where Barkley’s grandson was a topic of discussion, the big man said:

“I told you I thought the Nuggets are gonna finish with the best record in the Western Conference,” Barkley said. “I think they’re the deepest team in the NBA. It’s going to come down — Joker is gonna do his thing — but it’s going to go down to Jamal Murray, in my opinion. They got everything.”

The Nuggets made some interesting moves over the summer, landing players that are balling right now. Besides Nikola Jokic playing at a great level once again, they have a good supporting cast that is thriving this campaign. Of course, Jamal Murray will be crucial for their aspirations this season, but once he gets back to his best level, it’ll be scary hours for the NBA.

Denver has always been seen as a candidate to fight for a spot in the NBA Finals, but this season things appear to be even better for them. Time will tell what happens to them, but right now, they’re one of the hottest teams in the association.
