Charles Barkley Roasts Zion Williamson In Brandon Ingram’s Post-Game Interview After Pelicans Made The Playoffs: “Their Bodies Look Different, Y’all Don’t Eat At The Same Place?”

2 Min Read

Friday became a day for great celebration for fans of the New Orleans Pelicans, as their team mounted an incredible comeback to turn the game around and beat the Los Angeles Clippers to secure the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The charge was led by Brandon Ingram, who poured in 30 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Pelicans claimed a postseason berth for the first time after 2018 thanks to this performance and naturally got a lot of credit after the game. However, the most intriguing question around the team still seems to be the health of Zion Williamson and when he might return. It’s certainly something a lot of people are wondering about and in his own funny way, Charles Barkley brought Zion up during the post-game interview with BI.

Charles Barkley: “I was gonna ask you, clearly you and Zion don’t hang out together, their bodies don’t look the same. Y’all don’t eat at the same places?”

There have been reports that the Pelicans are having a difference of opinion with Williamson over whether he is ready to play or not while Zion continues to post videos of him dunking on social media. However, the one thing that hasn’t changed is that the Pelicans superstar still looks like he is carrying a bit more weight than would be ideal for his size.

Brandon Ingram was wise in not responding to Barkley’s comments, as the Pelicans can’t afford to have Zion get offended with the disappointing way things have already gone for the No. 1 overall pick so far. However, winning fixes everything in sports, so making the playoffs by beating the Clippers is a huge move for the Pelicans organization. The only thing left to do is show up and win some games against the Suns and we might see Zion and BI on the court together at some point.
