Chris Paul On Houston Rockets: “Two Teams That Know A Lot About Each Other. We’ll Prepare. Get Ready. And We’ll See What’s What.”

Chris Paul did the unthinkable with the Oklahoma City Thunder, leading a team with little to no expectations this season to clinch the 4th seed in the stacked Western Conference. They did a terrific job this season and now it’s time to really prove themselves.

CP3 landed in OKC when people believed his career was over and he was going there just to cash his check and retire in a couple of years. Well, that wasn’t the case and Paul revitalized his career, earned an All-Star call and took his team to the top 4 in the West. Now, he’ll face the Houston Rockets, which happens to be his former team. CP3 addressed this during the Zoom postgame press conference on Wednesday, claiming it was going to be an interesting matchup.

“It’ll be interesting. Two teams that know a lot about each other. We’ll prepare. Get ready. And we’ll see what’s what,” CP3 said, via Thunder Wire.

Last season, the Thunder had to deal Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers and after that, they shipped Russell Westbrook to Houston, in a trade that brought CP3 to Oklahoma City. Paul played two seasons with the Rockets before getting traded to the Thunder amid rumors of a bad relationship with James Harden.

On the other hand, Russell Westbrook played 11 seasons with the Thunder, giving all he had to help this team transcend in the playoffs after Kevin Durant left in 2016. Russ is arguably the biggest legend in the history of the franchise but now he’ll try to take down his former team in which will be a very emotional series for him.

This series has all the factors to be memorable and we can’t wait until the start of the playoffs. There is a lot to prove here for both teams and their main players.
