Damian Lillard Recruits Draymond Green To Portland On Twitter After Warriors Loss

2 Min Read

Before reality really even got to set in on Golden State’s defeat, Damian Lillard took to Twitter, where he retweeted a surprisingly candid message about the future of Draymond Green.

Keep tripping on Draymond, he’ll be in a Blazer jersey on y’all a*s!

It might sound like some kind of joke at first, but there have been reports in the past of Lillard wanting to bring Dray to the Blazers — and it makes a lot of sense, too.

Now more than ever, the team could use a real boost on the defensive end, and nobody can provide that quite like Green, who is a 5x All-Defensive player.

With him and Damian, together, it would make for one seriously dangerous pairing, and might just be enough to push them over the edge.

The question is, would the Warriors even consider making such a trade?

Draymond Green is a core member of their team and has been there since the very beginning. Amidst a disappointing 2021 run, however, the team might be more open and willing to let him go for the right price.

Needless to say, you shouldn’t hold your breath on any deal going down. But it’s definitely something to watch for this offseason.
