In his third season in the league, Jordan Poole earned a little over $2 million in 76 games played. His final year, the 2022-23 campaign, is a team option that will pay him nearly $4 million.

Pretty soon, those numbers will seem like child’s play for Poole, who is on track to earn a massive salary. In fact, according to Blazers star Damian Lillard, he could even get the max.

Poole wasn’t a part of the original Golden State core that won those titles a few years back. By the time he was drafted in 2019, Kevin Durant was already gone and Klay Thompson had already suffered a season-ending injury.

Quickly, though, he surfaced as someone who might become a long-term player for the Warriors.

Fast forward to this season, and the guy has blossomed into a borderline star. This season, he averaged 18.5 points, 4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game on 44% shooting,

His shooting, speed, and natural chemistry with the group have essentially made another “death lineup” for the Dubs.

“Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole are the best offensive trio in the NBA,” tweeted Kevin O’Connor. “Draymond Green is the league’s best defender. Warriors have depth, experience. Other teams have injuries. The Death Lineup is back. Golden State is the favorite again.”

Will it all be enough to net another Championship for the Warriors? That’s hard to say for sure.

In Round 1, Golden State handled Denver pretty easily, and Poole had a couple of excellent games. Against the Grizzlies, however, things might prove more challenging.

During Sunday’s series opener, the Warriors barely squeaked by with a win, and that was with Poole and Curry combining for 55 points.

Regardless, Jordan Poole has emerged as a high-impact player in this league, and when it’s time to negotiate a new contract, there is no doubt he will net some serious earnings.

Whether or not the Warriors will be the ones to pay him remains to be seen.
