Dennis Schroder called out his former Los Angeles Lakers teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis for letting Draymond Green bully the team during the second round of the playoffs this past season.

Speaking to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the German guard revealed how the Lakers superstar duo didn’t retaliate in response to Green’s attempts to take on the players.

“Draymond was bullying us, basically,” Schroder said. “AD, obviously, him and Bron [LeBron James] got a good relationship off the court. Sometimes it gets tough, they don’t want to really serve back.”

Schroder was not the one to back down and he had the last laugh when he played his part in the Lakers series-winning Game 6 against the Warriors. He was ejected, but his five assists were crucial in helping the Lakers win.

In his second stint with LA, the guard averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, and was key in their Conference Finals run.

Dennis Schroder Will Suit Up For The Toronto Raptors In The 2023-24 Season

Now, with the free agency well underway, Schroder has a new home in the Toronto Raptors. He inked a two-year, $26 million deal with the side and took to Twitter to make his announcement.

With the Raptors losing Fred VanVleet to the Houston Rockets, the guard will be a perfect addition and can most definitely be looked at as their starting point guard. It surely is a larger role than he had with the Lakers and a chance to make a case for himself as one of the more mercurial guards in the NBA.

The 29-year-old will also bolster their defense and his speed helps him get into the paint faster. His three-point shooting is a bit on the erratic side, but he comes with his own skillset and that’s a plus for Toronto.
