Derrick Rose On If He’d Consider Returning To The Bulls: “I’m Open To Anything After That Year’s Up.”

1 Min Read

Derrick Rose’s best days may be behind him, but the world is still full of guys who want him to succeed.

As he continues to light it up in Detroit, the narrative is being spread for a return to the place that started it all. The star guard is up for free agency in the summer, and the Bulls may very well look his way if things continue to head downward for the franchise.

When asked about the possibility of a Bulls reunion, Rose did not exactly rule it out.

“I’m open to anything after that year’s up.”

Derrick Rose played for Chicago from 2008-2016. In that time, he averaged 19.7 points and 6.2 assists on 44% shooting while earning an MVP and 3 All-Star selections.

After suffering some major injuries, he left in the summer of ’16 and hasn’t returned since. Though Rose has had a nice comeback in Minnesota and, most recently, Detroit, there is no question that he will always be recognized as a Bull.

It’s only right that he go back there now, considering where he and the team are at this point.
