Ja Morant keeps demonstrating he’s one of the best young players in the NBA right now. The Memphis Grizzlies point guard has only improved his level since he entered the league in 2019 as the 2nd overall pick.

Ever since that, he has shocked a lot of people, earning more and more recognition around the competition thanks to his explosive dunks and interesting style of play. Morant still has a lot of room to improve his game, but he’s already establishing himself as a star in the league.

Everybody is in awe of his performances and one of his teammates recently made a case for him as the best point guard in the NBA right now. Desmond Bane, who has been on a tear lately, praised Morant after he propelled the Grizzlies to a big 118-104 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Following the game, Bane placed Ja among the best playmakers in the league, stating that he’s already an All-Star and is looking to reach new heights.

Via ABC News:

“He’s special,” said Bane, who scored 29 points in the Memphis’ 5th straight win. “People debate whether or not he should be an All-Star, but I think we should be debating whether he’s the best point guard in the league.

“I don’t think it’s any question he’s an All-Star. The real conversation is, ‘Is he the best point guard in the league?'”

After a rough return to the court, where he was booed by Grizzlies fans, Ja has demonstrated he’s the future of the franchise and one of the future faces of the league. This is not the first time we hear his name among the best point guards in the association. During his sophomore year, Ja repeatedly stated he belong to the elite of the league.

Now he’s drawing more attention with his incredible performances while taking the Grizzlies to a surprising 4th seed in the Western Conference. They are trying to shock the world this season, and as long as they have Morant, that will be a big possibility.

The league has incredible point guards like Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Trae Young, Luka Doncic, Lonzo Ball, Kemba Walker, and even Kyrie Irving when he comes back. Morant is doing something great with his team and it won’t be crazy to see more people putting him among the 5 best PGs in the association right now.
