Donovan Mitchell Posts A Bold Message After Win In Game 2: “The Devil Works Hard… But God Works Harder”

It didn’t take long before Donovan Mitchell proved that he was the biggest steal of his draft class.

Mitchell shined during his rookie season and some claim that he should’ve won the Rookie of the Year award, but perhaps the most impressive part of his game showed later.

Donovan Mitchell is one of those players who elevates his game during the postseason, as he’s shown throughout his brief career.

So, now, after another outstanding performance in Game 2 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers, the Louisville product took to Twitter to thank God:

“The devil works hard…. But GOD works harder,” Mitchell tweeted after the game.

The devil works hard…. But GOD works harder 💯🙏🏾

Mitchell scored 37 in 38 minutes to lead the Utah Jazz to a 117-111 win and a 2-0 series lead. He’s put in a lot of work this season and doesn’t want to come home empty-handed like last season.

Nonetheless, the Jazz must be wary of being overconfident after jumping to this lead. Let’s not forget that they blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets last season and it could happen again against a Clippers team that already overcame a 2-0 deficit vs. the Dallas Mavericks.

But, should Mitchell continue to play at that All-NBA level and with Rudy Gobert anchoring the paint the way he’s done it thus far, we just don’t see anyone taking down this team in a seven-game series, at least in the Western Conference.
