LeBron James made history over the weekend when he surpassed Karl Malone to take second place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Now, LeBron James is going to target the only person above him on the list; Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. And Draymond Green is making sure that he will be in attendance to see LeBron surpass him, even if he has to miss a Golden State Warriors game.

Draymond Green spoke recently on his podcast about LeBron James. He congratulated LeBron for surpassing Karl Malone on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. He then told Steve Kerr that if LeBron is on the verge of breaking the all-time scoring record on the same night the Warriors have a game, he will intentionally miss the Warriors game to be in attendance to watch LeBron James make history.

“Congrats to LeBron, second all time. Probably in 50 more games, or 50 or 70 games or so, he’ll be first all-time and I can’t wait to see that. And I hope, Steve Kerr, I’m throwing this out there right now. If LeBron James is passing all-time scoring record and we have a game, I’m going to LeBron’s game and witness history. So that’s what we doing coach Kerr.”

Draymond and LeBron have become pretty good friends over the years. After their 4-year long rivalry over the NBA championship, Green and LeBron have become business associates, and work together on the content creation front with LeBron James’ production company along with Maverick Carter.

Green has been vocal about LeBron James and his greatness. Recently, when LeBron James put on an excellent performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Draymond Green noted that it was not a surprise to see LeBron put on a show and that anyone who had seen the game on the NBA calendar would have known what was coming. And clearly, Green wants to be in attendance when James makes history.
