Stephen Curry managed to drop 43 points against the Boston Celtics in Game 4, and there’s no doubt that this was an all-time performance from the superstar point guard. Some found the scoring explosion surprising, but the same cannot be said for his teammate, Draymond Green.

Draymond Green has revealed that he “could tell” that Stephen Curry was “going to come out with extra fire during Game 4, claiming that Stephen Curry “wasn’t going to let” the Warriors lose the game.

Draymond Green could tell in Curry’s demeanor over the last few days that he was going to come out with extra fire tonight.

“He wasn’t going to let us lose.”

Stephen Curry has had to carry the Golden State Warriors offensively during this Finals series, and that was on display in Game 4. Klay Thompson even admitted that the other Warriors players have to do more to help Stephen Curry, and added that Curry has carried the team “through so many lulls”.

“Especially if the other guys, including myself, don’t have it going, Steph has carried us through so many lulls. Come Game 5, we’re going to have to help him out. To ask him to score 43 nightly is ridiculous. It’s just special to watch what he does. He does it so often, we take it for granted”

It remains to be seen if Stephen Curry can bring the Warriors another championship, and get that elusive Finals MVP award that has been missing from his trophy cabinet. His play would certainly warrant him winning the award if the Warriors do end up winning.

The Boston Celtics won’t be an easy team to beat in this series though, and as of right now, the Finals are still there for the taking. With Stephen Curry at the helm though, it’s hard to bet against the Golden State Warriors.
