  • Heat legend shows off impressive trophy room ahead of Hall of Fame ceremony.
  • Wade flashes his favorite pictures with Michael Jordan, his favorite player.
  • The video features a wall of jerseys from top NBA stars.

After 16 legendary years in the NBA, Dwyane Wade is now on the cusp of achieving basketball immortality as the enshrinement ceremony sits just days away. Wade, a 13x All-Star, is best known for his work with the Heat, where he helped establish the franchise as a modern-day dynasty.

Today, both sides have moved on, but Wade’s looming Hall of Fame recognition has him reflecting on the past. Which is why, this week, he took fans on a special experience to appreciate his career.

“What’s up everybody, it is Hall of Fame week and we’re about to take a trip down memory lane,” Wade said in a video before showing fans a picture of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson during their stint at Team USA together in 1992.

Later in the video, he also shows off his signature jersey collection, which features signed gear from LeBron James, Chris Paul, Spurs’ legends Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, and even Kawhi Leonard.

Wade, a 3x champion, faced some fierce competition in the day, going up against the Spurs, Celtics, and other highly competitive teams. By the end, he proved he could win against anyone, and much like MJ and others who came before him, Wade never let the doubters get in his way.

What’s The Story Behind Wade’s Iconic Photo With MJ?

Wade never got to play against Jordan in his prime, and the two rarely crossed paths at the NBA level — but the Top 75 All-Time team ceremony was one of the few times that Wade and MJ linked up.

Wade said he was “in awe” of Jordan, who was his favorite player growing up. To share the stage with his idol was a dream come true for Wade, and now it seems things have come full circle.

Just like Jordan and Magic inspired his generation, his career (and the career of Kobe and LeBron) will inspire the next and we’re already seeing that starting to play out in young players today.
