Recently, Michael Jordan's Charlotte Hornets were eliminated from playoff contention after they lost against the Atlanta Hawks in the play-in tournament on Wednesday night.
Knowing how big of a winner MJ was during his career, seeing his team fail to miss the playoffs again and against must be frustrating for him. Anyway, our focus today is not MJ's Charlotte Hornets.
Instead, we will be focusing on what former fashion model Garcelle Beauvais revealed in her latest book, "Love Me as I Am."
In the book, she wrote about her encounter with the Chicago Bulls superstar and going on a date with him. Unfortunately, the two never became a serious thing and it was Beauvais who turned down MJ.
Via New York Post:
"I was impressed by how tall and handsome he was. He took me on a golf date after the shoot and showed me how to hold a club properly and swing."
She continued, "Like a naive little girl, I was 'clutching my pearls' and shocked by the idea of going to Hawaii with a man I had just met. I blew that one."
Maybe if she had accepted Mike's offer, the two could have dated for a longer period of time. But at the end of the day, that isn't what happened.
As of now, Beauvais is single following a messy public divorce with her ex-husband Mike Nilon. According to many reports, the two separated due to Nilon having an affair.
On the other hand, Michael Jordan married for the second time to model Yvette Prieto back in 2013.
Currently, MJ hasn't responded to Beauvais' mention of him in her book in any way. But knowing Jordan, he will certainly make a comment about his mention in the book before any unnecessary rumors starts to float around in the media.
