Kevin Durant recently appeared on the ‘Up & Adams’ show, where he and host Kay Adams had a lighthearted exchange about his fantasy football team and Dak Prescott’s injury. Durant, a dedicated NFL fan, seemed less than pleased with Prescott’s injury’s impact on his team and was quick to share his disappointment.

Kay Adams: “Did you see the Dak news?”

Kevin Durant: “That he’s out for four weeks?”

Kay Adams: “At least.”

Kevin Durant: “Minimum?”

Kay Adams: “Yeah, I hate this for you.”

Kevin Durant: “Yeah, especially for my fantasy team. I hate that Dak’s out. I hate when guys go out with injuries for that long, disrupt their seasons, you know what I mean? It’s a lot to do, to be on the field. So I hope he has a speedy recovery. My fantasy team took a hit for sure.”

Kay Adams: “You never even told me, all of a sudden, you’re peeling back the layers on me for me right now. You never told me he was your quarterback.”

Kevin Durant: ” I did tell you that. Another woman who don’t listen.”

Kay Adams: “Why are we arguing? What is going on? I watched a game-winner out of you last night, Mr. Five wins in a row. I know about the rookie on your team and this is how you’re treating me?”

Kevin Durant: “I’m just saying, you forget stuff too easy. But Dak is injured, but I picked up Bo Nix and I love what he’s doing at that quarterback position. So I’m going to start him this week and see what he do.”

Kevin Durant’s relaxed and playful demeanor in the interview showed fans a different side of him, far from his intense on-court persona. His willingness to joke around and share a laugh with Adams made for an entertaining interaction, reminding everyone that even pro athletes can be deeply invested—and affected—by fantasy sports. The banter also reflected how athletes like Durant connect with fans and media personalities, adding humor and a personal touch to discussions.
