Fans couldn't believe what happened to the Golden State Warriors, as they looked like a G League team against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Golden State Warriors are going through their roughest patch of form this season as an injury to Stephen Curry has taken the struggling team from becoming average to bad really quickly. The Warriors have lost every game this season without Curry, adding another loss to that column when they lost to the red-hot Brooklyn Nets 113-143.

Losing to one of the top teams in the East isn’t embarrassing or shocking, but the way the Warriors lost was mind-boggling to everyone. The score was 91-51 at halftime after the Nets outscored the Warriors 46-17 just to open the first quarter. The Warriors just never recovered and generated all kinds of responses from people on Twitter.

Kevin Durant led the Nets in scoring with a simple 23 points, as the entire Nets lineup showed up to contribute with electric shooting. The Nets had 9 players in double digits in this dominant win, as the Golden State Warriors without Steph, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins just couldn’t compete.

Can Golden State Re-Join The Playoff Race?

With every loss, the Warriors fall further behind the field in the West that’s looking to qualify for the playoffs. This loss dooms them to a 15-18 record, only 2 wins better than the Lakers’ 13-18 record. With the struggles of the 10th-seeded Dallas Mavericks, the Warriors will remain optimistic about snagging at least a playoff spot.

Sadly, nothing will be accomplished by this team if Stephen Curry isn’t healthy and playing to his highest level. Hopefully, he comes back sooner rather than later while Steve Kerr figures out what he needs to do to make this team better defensively, as their failure to stop players from scoring has plagued them all year.
