The trade to Brooklyn was a fresh start for Ben Simmons, who appears to be more motivated than ever to step up his game and play the best basketball of his life.

On Wednesday, Ben was caught working with former NBA sharpshooter Kyle Korver at the Nets practice facility, suggesting that his shooting woes could be a thing of the past.

The reaction from fans was mixed. While some see it as a sign of things to come for the young star, others aren’t as convinced.

so embarrassing… how you been playing basketball for 20 years and still don’t know how to shoot

This isn’t the first time Ben Simmons’s workout videos have hit the internet, and they’ve been successful in deceiving people a number of times.

“Hey spice! I live in Philadelphia during the summer. This is the third year in a row they put up their bullsh** jump shot during the summer,” said Charles Barkley last year. “But this is so funny, you know, because I mean honestly, I’m in Philly all summer, so I get asked this question every day. This would be the third year in a row that he put up all these things during the summer, of him shooting a jump shot. I’m not falling for the banana in a tailpipe anymore. That’s exactly what it is.”

In Philadelphia, it was Ben’s flaws on offense (particularly shooting the ball) that contributed to their collapse in the postseason.

In Brooklyn, there is a renewed sense of optimism that Simmons can improve his game and become the player Brooklyn needs him to be. Alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, he’ll have the space and time to grow and develop his game to maximum potential.

In the meantime, videos like this will get people excited about the journey to come.
