When we talk about the all-time greats in NBA history, chances are that PJ Tucker’s name won’t come up. But when it comes to the GOAT of sneakers, no one can sit at his table.
Tucker has become famous around the league for his insane shoe collection. He never wears the same sneaker twice and travels around with dozens of pairs everywhere he goes.
But more than that, Tucker’s insane collection features some of the rarest and most unique sneakers in the world. He even got a pair of Carmelo Anthony’s that were only made for a soccer team in Puerto Rico. He’s that kind of guy.
That’s why it wasn’t surprising to see that he got an unreleased pair of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s signature shoes even before the Greek Freak himself.
Tucker showed his sneakers before Game 6 of the NBA Finals and Giannis just couldn’t believe that he got his signature shoes before him:
“Bro, thiѕ guу got mу ѕhoe before me. Thiѕ man is crazу,” Giannis jokingly said.
Giannis also messed with him for wearing $250,000 worth of diamonds on his sneakers. But hey, it’s the NBA Finals we’re talking about.
PJ Tucker is a valuable player on any contender. His toughness, grind, grit, and ability to guard one through five have earned him a lot of money throughout his career. So if he wants to spend a couple of hundred grand on his feet, then so be it.
