Giannis Antetokounmpo is all business when he steps out on the court for the Milwaukee Bucks. He is not really someone who jokes around with his opponents and his only goal is to go out there and crush them.

It is an entirely different story off the court though, as Giannis is quite the comedian when he’s not running and dunking over people. He routinely dishes out dad jokes and the way he delivers them, just makes it just that much funnier.

Antetokounmpo was on the sidelines for the NBA Celebrity All-Star game on Friday as one of the coaches for Team Wade and referee Marc Davis ended up being on the receiving end of a brutal roast from the Greek forward. Giannis wasn’t happy with the way Richard Jefferson was calling the game and joked that he is reffing like Davis.

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Hey, you’re out here reffing like Marc Davis and sh**.”

Richard Jefferson: “I’m mic’d up bro!”

That was hilarious but, unfortunately, Giannis will probably get a fine for saying that. It is no secret that the players are incredibly frustrated with the officiating this season and a lot of them have come out and openly criticized the officials.

Adam Silver Spoke On How Officials Are Disciplined

This season has seen Ja Morant get ejected for talking with a fan, while Jayson Tatum was given a technical foul for clapping, but the spotlight really came on the officials after they missed an obvious foul that was committed on LeBron James by Tatum. James bashed the referees for quite a while after that incident and there were growing calls for the referees to get fined for making mistakes.

Commissioner Adam Silver finally addressed the issue on Friday, stating that referees are indeed disciplined for making mistakes, but that it won’t be in public. Silver added that there is a system in place for overseeing and making judgments about the officials, which would affect their assignments. You may not like it, but that is exactly the way that the league should function when it comes to the officials.
