Giannis Antetokounmpo On The Bucks’ Losing Streak: “I Like Being Down… If Everything Always Goes Well And Goes Your Way, You Kind Of Not Know The Other Side.”

The Milwaukee Bucks remain 3rd in the Eastern Conference but their latest results don’t seem to be helpful if they want to finish at the top of the standings, as they’ve done in the past two seasons. Things have changed for this team, who don’t look like that powerhouse they went in the past two years.

In fact, they had lost the past five games, worsening their record. Although it’s still good to rank 3rd in the East, their fans were worried about the squad. However, their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t worried about anything. Before the Bucks took on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, he made it clear that the team is confident they can turn things around and their losing streak can be very helpful for them.

“I like being down… if everything always goes well and goes your way, you kind of not know the other side. You don’t feel it. So, now we feel the other side. We feel being down,” Antetokounmpo told reporters.

In the past two seasons, they recorded the best record in the league but couldn’t play in the Finals, losing to the Kawhi Leonard-led Raptors in 2019 and being dismantled by the Miami Heat last season. The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets have the two best records in the East now and the Bucks lost some ground against them.

In the end, they returned to winning ways against the Thunder with a 98-85 win at Fiserv Forum. Giannis is ready to prove everybody wrong, including those who try to bring him down and take this team to the next level, although the competition will be a lot harder this season.
