There is no doubt that the Memphis Grizzlies should be viewed as the favorites in this series. They are a team that finished as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, spearheaded by superstar point guard Ja Morant. The Grizzlies don’t have a true co-star for him, but they have surrounded Ja Morant with elite two-way players in Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr.
The next game between the Grizzlies and the Timberwolves will be played in Minnesota, and it will definitely be a tougher game for the Grizzlies. However, they do have the talent to get it done on the road.
The Timberwolves aren’t a team that will go away quietly though, and their star trio of Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and D’Angelo Russell are as good as any offensive trio in the league. They could definitely lead the team to a win with the home crowd backing them.
This series looks like one of the first-round series that could end up being interesting, and go to 7 games. We’ll have to wait and see if that happens, but the talent on both sides suggests that there’s a possibility we’ll see a Game 7 in Memphis.
