The Memphis Grizzlies have recently defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, in a massive blowout on their home floor. After losing Game 1, this was a must-win game for the Memphis Grizzlies, and they ended up delivering in a big way, dominating the Timberwolves 124-96. There were some that suggested that the first game was a sign of the Minnesota Timberwolves potentially pulling off an upset, this win should quiet some of that talk.

A lot of NBA Fans reacted to the Memphis Grizzlies’ dominant performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Some people were ready to declare the Grizzlies as the winner of the series, suggesting that they could finish it in 5 games.

There is no doubt that the Memphis Grizzlies should be viewed as the favorites in this series. They are a team that finished as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, spearheaded by superstar point guard Ja Morant. The Grizzlies don’t have a true co-star for him, but they have surrounded Ja Morant with elite two-way players in Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr.

The next game between the Grizzlies and the Timberwolves will be played in Minnesota, and it will definitely be a tougher game for the Grizzlies. However, they do have the talent to get it done on the road.

The Timberwolves aren’t a team that will go away quietly though, and their star trio of Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and D’Angelo Russell are as good as any offensive trio in the league. They could definitely lead the team to a win with the home crowd backing them.

This series looks like one of the first-round series that could end up being interesting, and go to 7 games. We’ll have to wait and see if that happens, but the talent on both sides suggests that there’s a possibility we’ll see a Game 7 in Memphis.
