Ja Morant is one of the brightest superstars in the NBA. But in recent weeks, Morant has been in the headlines for his off-the-court antics rather than his on-court performances.
The Memphis Grizzlies superstar has been the talk of the town for his leaked images at a Colorado strip club. It only added more fuel to the fire caused by brandishing a gun at the same strip club. Keeping that in mind, NBA insider Marc J. Spears recently revealed that there are rumors that Ja may end up missing the remaining season due to the controversy.
“I think there’s a lot going on,” Spears said. “My prayers to him, that he figures it out. There’s things I’m hearing that I’d rather probably not say on this podcast, but I hope he’s taking care of himself. I’m not really worried about the basketball part for him right now. I’m worried about the human part.… My guess now is — not that you’d bet on this — that he doesn’t play the rest of the season as he takes care of himself.”

Spears did reveal that he wishes Morant would get better as soon as possible. But at the same time, he gave a brutal reality check to the Memphis Grizzlies fanbase by revealing the possibility of Morant not returning to the roster this season.
Ja Morant Has Entered A Counseling Program
Following the gun-flashing incident on his Instagram Live, Ja Morant was indefinitely suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies.
While many believed that Morant might return soon, those rumors are slowly settling down. The most recent reason behind this is Ja entering a counseling program. As a result, the 23-year-old has been ruled out of games indefinitely. The program will take place in Florida, and there is no return timetable for him yet.
If that wasn’t enough, Morant is also on track to lose out on making $39 million by not making the All-NBA team because of recent controversies. Hopefully, Morant can settle his issues soon and make a comeback to the NBA.
