Ja Morant’s life has been turned upside down and more details are emerging regarding his now-infamous trips to Shotgun Willie’s in Glendale, Colorado.

Morant visited the club twice, first on March 2nd and then on March 4th, spending over $50k in cash tips during his visits, as per club employees who spoke to the New York Post.

“The whole room is full of money — it’s literally a pile. You’d need a rake,” according to one club insider who witnessed the eye-popping hardwood scene.

The Post also obtained photos of his visit on the 2nd of March and just as the club insider says, the room was literally full of money.

Morant would have earned $39.6 million in salaries after this season and has a signature shoe deal with Nike, so he is certainly not short on money. He also signed that 4-year extension with the Memphis Grizzlies last year, which could be worth up to $231 million, so it isn’t a surprise by any means that he is spending so recklessly.

When Ja visited this club on the 2nd of March, he couldn’t have imagined just how bad things were about to get in a few days. It was on his second trip there that he flashed the gun on his Instagram Live, which has caused this entire mess. Morant will remain away from the team for a few more games at least and there is still no timetable for his return.

The Girls At The Club Were Terrified When They Learned About Ja Morant Having A Gun

While everyone at the club would have absolutely loved Morant’s first visit, that definitely wasn’t the case for the second one. The Post learned that the gun “absolutely terrified” the Shotgun girls and you can’t blame them for that. The owner of the club though wanted to make it clear that Ja was very respectful and sweet during his visits, but that doesn’t make the situation much better.

The only positive to come out of this could be that it might lead to a change in how Morant conducts himself. He has put himself in a position that most could only dream of and he was going down a path where he could have lost everything that he had worked so hard to get. The police have closed their investigation on the matter, so he isn’t going to be in trouble with the law but the NBA will almost certainly be punishing him for this offense.
