Jamal Murray has been a man on a mission during this playoff run. The Denver Nuggets point guard has played some of the best basketball of his career and has been a key player for the Nuggets during the NBA Finals. And while playing some fantastic basketball, Murray also made history.

Jamal Murray became the first player in NBA history to deliver 10 or more assists in his first 4 NBA Finals games. Murray has played incredibly during the NBA Finals and has been the consummate teammate, making the right decision on each play, while leading the Nuggets by example.

Murray had 15 points last night, not the biggest performance he has had on the offensive end. But more impressively, he had 12 assists and 0 turnovers during the game. Considering how dangerous the Heat can be, Murray did well to not give them the ball anytime he had it in his hands.

Jamal Murray: Future Superstar?

Jamal Murray has established himself as one of the best players in the NBA. Murray even claimed that the Nuggets are ready to win the NBA championship.

Despite never having made an All-Star team, Murray has consistently played at a superstar level during the playoffs, leading the Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals in 2020, and the NBA Finals this year. Winning a championship would just cement him as one of the best guards in the NBA.

Paul Pierce went one step further, claiming that Murray is now the best point guard in the NBA. Considering the difficult few years Murray has had in his career, winning a championship would be the ultimate accomplishment, and would vindicate him as a superstar for years to come in the association.

Of course, the Heat are still in it, but being down 3-1 in the series, they will have to put on the performance of a lifetime, along with the Nuggets underperforming in their next three games. Considering how Murray has played, the latter seems highly unlikely.
