  • Harden continues his Asian tour despite a battle with Daryl Morey

76ers star James Harden is currently engaged in a brutal campaign to force a trade from the 76ers, but he doesn’t seem to be too worried about the results. This week, just hours after calling Daryl Morey a “liar” in front of a room full of Chinese fans, Harden made headlines again for riding a moped on the court during an event in China.

Harden, 33, is actively working to sabotage the 76ers and force a trade out of town after being betrayed by the team and, more specifically, Daryl Morey. With averages of 21 points and 10.7 assists on 44.1% shooting last season, he was a borderline All-Star for the Sixers — but now he’s more of a liability for the team after openly admitting to never wanting to play for them again.

Regarding what’s next, nobody is certain where it all goes from here. For Morey, we can only expect him to stay firm on his stance, and it’s likely that he’ll only trade James for an elite return.

As for Harden, nothing is off the table for him, as we’ve seen from his history with the Rockets and Nets.

James Harden Will Sabotage The 76ers’ Season

With all eyes set on the Clippers, Harden will spare no expense to force his desired outcome. Today was just the latest move in his quest for a trade, but it’s unlikely to be his last.

Over the next few weeks and months, he could continue to make the team uncomfortable by being a constant distraction and doing whatever he can to sow division and discourse in the locker room.

It’s an undoubtedly ugly situation all around, but it’s the Sixers fans who suffer the most in all of this, as it’s yet another summer wasted on trade requests instead of building up around Joel Embiid.
