Jaylen Brown is ready and raring to take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, and he made his intent clear.

“We know they’re gonna bring the fight,” Brown said in the postgame press conference after the Celtics registered a 4-2 first-round win against the Atlanta Hawks.

“Philly’s a tough environment to win. Their crowd gets involved in the game. It’s going to be fun. We already know they’ve got some great players in Joel Embiid, James Harden, and company, so it’s gonna be a test again. We’re gonna have to be ready to fight again. I’m up for it and I can’t wait.”

Brown had a solid Thursday night against the Hawks, notching up a game-high 32 points, coupled with 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. His teammate, Jayson Tatum, dropped 30 points, while for the Hawks, Trae Young top-scored with 30 points, 3 boards, and 10 assists.

The Sixers didn’t have to sweat as much, putting the Brooklyn Nets away in four games. The second-round skirmish between the two teams promises to be a humdinger.

Will Jaylen Brown Shift Base To The Houston Rockets In The Upcoming Season?

The Houston Rockets ended up with the wooden spoon this season with a dismal 22-60 record. And they sprung into action soon after by hiring ex-Celtics coach Ime Udoka.

According to Bobby Krivitsky of Sports Illustrated, this could be done keeping in mind the possibility of adding Brown to the team’s ranks during the summer.

“And while the Celtics must be happy about Udoka going to a Western Conference team, there is the possibility he tries to recruit Jaylen Brown to the Rockets. The two built a strong relationship, and it’s a prospect worth monitoring.”

The guard is averaging 26.6 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 3.5 APG this season, and with speculations rife that James Harden might leave the Sixers by the end of the season and rejoin Houston, there are rumors that he and Brown will make for the superstar duo alongside promising talent in Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., and Alperen Sengun.

Only time will tell if Brown becomes a Rocket next season.
