Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are one of the most talented wing duos in the league, and many view them as the future of the Boston Celtics. However, due to the lack of team success from the Boston Celtics this season, many have suggested that the two should be split up.

Jaylen Brown has recently stated his disagreement with the notion that he and Jayson Tatum need to be separated, and claimed that “we can play together”. He added that the duo has “played together well” for the majority of their careers.

Jaylen Brown on the talk that he and Jayson Tatum should be split up: "I disagree. I think we can play together. We have played together well for the majority of our careers. The last year or so hasn't gone as expected, but the adversity will help us grow and get better."

“I disagree. I think we can play together. We have played together well for the majority of our careers. The last year or so hasn’t gone as expected, but the adversity will help us grow and get better.”

There is no question that the two have achieved some success together. After all, they’ve been to the Eastern Conference Finals multiple times, and while they haven’t been able to win a championship yet, there’s still time for them to do so. Both are playing well on an individual level this year, and when they figure out how to play together they will be a scary duo to face.

As Jaylen Brown mentions, this year “hasn’t gone as expected” for the team. Even Celtics legend Bob Cousy isn’t optimistic about the Celtics this year. However, it is quite possible that they’ll still make the playoffs: they are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference, which is a play-in tournament spot. If they advance through the tournament, then they could potentially be the 8th seed.

We’ll see how well the Boston Celtics do going forward. There is still half of the season left to play, and a lot of things can change in an instant. Hopefully, we see the Boston Celtics get to the postseason, as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are talented players that deserve to be on the big stage.
