Entering the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics were the favorites to win the series and clinch a spot in the 2023 NBA Finals.

But with three games played, the Celtics find themselves in a tough spot as they are down 0-3 in the series. Following the embarrassing 102-128 Game 3 defeat, Brown had nothing positive to say about the team’s performance.

“I don’t even know where to start. It’s an obvious letdown,” Brown said. “I feel like we let our fan base, organization down, let ourselves down. It was a collective. We can point fingers, but in reality, it’s just embarrassing.”

Jaylen Brown recorded just 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists while shooting 6-of-17 from the field in the blowout loss.

While Brown wasn’t happy with the Celtics’ overall performance in Game 3, he specifically called out his teammates for failing to keep the Heat’s rotation players under control.

Sure, that was one of the reasons for the Celtics’ defeat, but at the end of the day, Brown needs to be better individually because he is one of the leaders of the team.

Jaylen Brown Explains How The Boston Celtics Can Still Make A Comeback In The Eastern Conference Finals

Theoretically, the Boston Celtics still have a chance at defeating the Miami Heat in the. series. If they can win four consecutive games, the job will be finished.

This feat has never been accomplished in NBA history. Despite knowing that, Brown revealed a strategy that could help the Celtics in eliminating the Heat from the playoffs.

“We’ve just got to come out fighting and play basketball,” Jaylen Brown claimed. “I think both of these two games [the Heat] have been able to come out on top, but who is to say we can’t come out on top in the next two games? We just got to come ready to play basketball. We can’t lose our confidence. It’s the first to four. It should make for a better story.”

Sure, it’s the first team to win four games that advance to the next round. But the way that the Celtics have played so far in the series, there is little to no hope for them to win one game, let alone four straight games.
