Jimmy Butler Says Lakers Can’t Guard Him: “I Think Whatever You Throw At Me, It’s Not Gonna Work Cuz If I’m Open, I’m Gonna Shoot It. If I’m Not, I’m Gonna Pass It To Duncan Or Tyler Or K-Nunn Or Bam Or Jae, And They’re Gonna Make The Shot.”

What’s there left to say about Jimmy Butler? That man is on a mission right now and his Miami Heat are playing great basketball, showing a lot of heart, demonstrating that they are hard to beat throughout the postseason. They are doing the same in the NBA Finals despite facing the all-powerful Los Angeles Lakers, heavily favored to win the series against the Heat in the Orlando bubble.

Well, this team has demonstrated they won’t give up just like that and Butler is the prime sample of that. He’s been a fighter during his entire life and this season we’ve learned how that shaped him to become a big figure in the league once again. Miami is not in the bubble just to see the Lakers win the championship; they want to ruin that party and Butler is well aware that they can do it as long as they make the right plays.

Following the 111-108 victory on Friday night, Jimmy explained that it’ll take a lot for the Lakers to beat him since he’ll find a way to score or set up his teammates to get buckets.

“Just stay aggressive. I don’t know what they’re gonna throw at me on a given night. Well, I think whatever you throw at me, it’s not gonna work cuz if I’m open, I’m gonna shoot it. If I’m not, I’m gonna pass it to Duncan [Robinson] or Tyler [Herro] or K-Nunn or Bam [Adebayo] or Jae [Crowder], and they’re gonna make the shot. So it’s only if we stay together and play Basketball our way, no matter how they guard me, I’mma make the right play,” he said.

Jimmy had a terrific game on Friday night, going off with a triple-double with 35 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals, and 1 block, while shooting 100% from the free-throw line, making two clutch free throws during the last seconds of the game. This man is willing to do everything to win a ‘ship and the Lakers have learned that the hard way. Be careful, because the Heat have nothing to lose and a lot to win.
