He may be making headlines for dating Shakira, but Jimmy Butler has made sure that the focus is spot on when it comes to winning an NBA championship.

So much so that he made a bold claim during his China tour that Miami is on their way to winning a title shortly.

“The most important factor of us reaching the Finals was just teamwork. A championship is coming to the future in Miami.”

The Heat made the NBA Finals this season only to go down to the Denver Nuggets, who won their maiden NBA silverware. Butler was instrumental for the side averaging 22.9 PPG, 5.9 RPG, and 5.3 APG, but it wasn’t enough to get the team across the finish line.

That said, it is good to see Butler stay optimistic about the new season, and with or without Damian Lillard in their ranks, there is no doubt that the forward will do everything he can to take Miami to the distance.

Jimmy Butler Believes That The Miami Heat Can Win A Championship With Him

Despite failing to lead the Heat to win the NBA championship this season, Butler is still supremely confident about his chances of winning a ring with Miami.

“It’s been great,” Butler said during the postgame conference. “I’ve had some hell of teammates come through here and compete with me and give us the opportunity to win a championship. I still believe with everything in me that we will do as a team here, as an organization, as a city in Miami.”

He further added: “The four years have been great. It’s always great to be wanted and loved and appreciated. I don’t think that’s gonna change but for the time being… I’m grateful man that we made it here.”

Butler’s grit and determination makes him one of those players who cannot be counted out at any stage of the game, and he will have to bring his qualities to the fore again if he intends to back his claim.
