Shaquille O’Neal retired from the NBA in 2011. Since then, the Diesel has become a beloved celebrity among fans.
A huge reason behind that is O’Neal’s random acts of kindness and, more often than not, being hilarious. O’Neal’s recent clip of getting carried out of a swimming pool by kids fell in the latter category.

The NBA on TNT analyst currently weighs 324 lbs and carrying him is no small deal. However, being in the swimming pool helped the kids in achieving this near-impossible feat.
O’Neal enjoyed the royal treatment and loved the action. Despite being on vacation, Shaq constantly finds ways to keep his fans happy.
Shaquille O’Neal Buys Toys For Underprivileged Kids
Even when Shaquille O’Neal is not on vacation, he never forgets to do his part for people. One of the best examples of it is O’Neal’s tendency to make donations and purchase things for underprivileged people.
On that note, O’Neal has been buying toys for underprivileged kids since 1992. Shaq revealed his mother started the tradition.
“About 20 years ago, in 1992, I got a call from my mother. She said, ‘Baby, I need to borrow some money.’ I asked why, and she said, the girls and boys club, underprivileged kids, we’re gonna buy some toys. So, I went out to check out the situation, and it’s about a thousand kids. And I said, ‘You can’t buy toys for half the kids, I’ll take care of it.'”
O’Neal added: “Now, at the time, I didn’t know what I was going to do, so messing around and all the way home, it was a U-Haul truck and the ‘Toys R Us’. I put my mind together, my boys, we got some U-Haul trucks. We went, we wiped the ‘Toys R Us’ out, and we bought the toys and then ‘Shaq-a-claus’ was created. I’m still doing it, and mommy, thank you. I love you.”
That’s a great initiative from the Big Aristotle. It just goes to prove that Shaq has a big heart and never steps away from doing something good for the less fortunate.
