JJ Redick And Brian Windhorst Disagree With Charles Barkley About Kevin Durant’s Role In The Warriors Dynasty: “He Needs To Review The 2017 Tape. He Was The Bus Driver Of That Championship.”

When it’s all said and done, Kevin Durant will be remembered as the greatest scorer and one of the best players of our generation. Throughout his glorious career in the league, KD has achieved great heights and still has a chance of doing so before he retires for good.

But one thing which will always somewhat blemish his legacy in the NBA would be his decision to join the Golden State Warriors to win the two rings of his career. Regardless of the way KD used, he still was phenomenal during his stint with the Warriors.

Unfortunately, there are many who believe that Durant wasn’t the bus driver, but a bus rider during the two championship runs of the Warriors. Charles Barkley has been one of the most vocal analysts on this better.

He once again brought up this matter. But this time around, Kevin Durant himself blasted the NBA Hall of Famer for making these terrible analogies about his career. Following this rant about Durant, other notable figures also decided to support him.

Former NBA player JJ Redick discussed this topic and openly said that Charles Barkley was wrong this time.

"I love Charles Barkley. He's been so great for our game and so great for media for so long. He's wrong in this."

“I love Charles Barkley, and he’s been so great for our game. … He’s wrong in this; he’s just flat-out wrong. To call Kevin Durant anything but the bus driver of those Warriors teams, and that is not, I wanna be clear, that is not a knock on Steph Curry.”

Redick wasn’t the only analyst who supported Durant’s decision to clap back at Chuck. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst also discussed this matter on “Get Up” and said something similar to what Redick pointed out.

“I respect Charles Barkley greatly, but he needs to review the 2017 tape. Kevin Durant was the bus driver of that championship. That was the best team that LeBron was on that never won the title, and that was because of Kevin Durant.”

All things considered, the majority seems to be in favor of KD and his decision to clap back at Chuck for his comments about Durant being a bus rider.

Despite the fact that Durant was amazing on the Warriors, he is yet to win an NBA Championship where he is leading the team and not surrounded by three other superstars.

Once KD accomplishes that, we are sure no one will dare dismiss his legacy in the league, but until then, people will always find a way to discredit his championships.
