JJ Redick Reveals His Top 5 Three-Point Shooters Of All Time: “That’s Easy. Steph Is First.”

3 Min Read

The topic of greatest shooters in the NBA has always been a lively conversation. In the last few years with the NBA transitioning to a more three-pointer-oriented offense has provided a greater emphasis on shooters and their game. And JJ Redick, one of the most underrated snipers has given his top 5 of greatest three-point shooters in history.

JJ Redick said that Steph Curry is number one on the list, which is unsurprising, given that most people consider him the greatest shooter of all time. As for the rest of the list, Redick didn’t give an order but named Klay Thompson, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, and Kyle Korver in his top 5.

Curry and Klay’s inclusion in the list comes as no surprise, as they are the greatest shooting backcourt of all time. On top of that, their excellence from beyond the arc was a big factor in teams prioritizing the three-point shot. Curry is actually leading the NBA in three-point shooting from all parts of the arc this season.

Reggie Miller and Ray Allen are also two of the greatest three-point shooters of all time and are alongside Steph Curry in the all-time list for three-pointers made. Before the NBA transitioned to a three-pointer-based offense, these two were shooting the lights out.

As for Kyle Korver, his entire career was built around his reputation of being an excellent three-point shooter. In fact, Korver was part of the legendary 2003 NBA Draft class, but a late second-round pick in the draft. He achieved success in the league because of his ability to shoot the ball.

Redick will have great insight into the best shooters in the NBA, given his own ability from beyond the arc. Redick was a sniper, and one of the most reliable three-point shooters in the league for the entirety of his career until he called time and retired this past offseason.
