JJ Redick Says He Wouldn’t Want To Be Quarantined With Dwight Howard

2 Min Read

JJ Redick is one of the most respected and beloved veterans around the league. That just doesn’t seem to be the case with Dwight Howard, whose reputation as a prankster and easy-going guy has granted him some detractors wherever he’s gone.

Dwight’s antics have gotten him some detractors lately, as he’s been spotted not wearing a mask, claiming he’s anti-vaccine during the pandemic, which obviously, hasn’t helped his case.

That’s probably what made his former teammate JJ Redick joke during the latest episode of his Podcast, claiming he wouldn’t like to be quarantined with Dwight. I mean, at the end of the day, you know he’ll crack you up with his shenanigans, but perhaps it’s not the best time to be playing around.

Redick had Joel Embiid as his host to discuss several matters, including the end of his impressive 13-year streak of making the playoffs. Sadly, the New Orleans Pelicans couldn’t make the cut this season.

JJ Went on to explain that he doesn’t care about the playoffs streak as long as he wins an NBA Championship before retiring, which is highly likely considering his three-point shooting expertise and veteran leadership will always come handily for contending teams.

As for Howard, he’s trying to do the same with the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Contrary to what people expected, he’s been quite focused the whole year and has proven to be a great source of defense, rebounding and energy off the bench for the purple and gold.

Hopefully, those two great players will have a shot at winning a ring again before their time to retire come. One is one of the greatest three-point shooters of all time and the other one of the most dominant rebounders and defenders ever but that lack of a ring will always be a stain on their resumes.
