The Philadelphia 76ers could be getting big news in recent days, as Joel Embiid’s return seems to be clearer now. The 2022 MVP candidate is currently sidelined with an orbital fracture and a mild concussion. The big man picked up the injury during Game 6 of the Sixers-Raptors series.

Initially, there was no timetable for his return, but things are looking more promising for the Sixers now. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the player could make a return as soon as Game 3 or 4 of the Miami Heat-Philadelphia 76ers series that starts tomorrow night.

He won’t be traveling with the team to Florida, but there’s optimism that he can return after the first two matches of the series. This definitely would change a lot for the Sixers, who are a weak team without their superstar.

Joel Embiid won’t travel for Games 1 and 2 in Miami, but there’s optimism he could return as soon as either Game 3 or 4 in Philadelphia. He needs to clear concussion protocols and see doctor mid-week on his orbital fracture.

James Harden balled out during that Game 6 blowout win over the Raptors, but everybody in Philly knows that Embiid is the biggest piece for them if they want to win. This season looked very promising for the Sixers, and even though they went through some big changes regarding Ben Simmons, the situation looks favorable for them.

If they at least steal one game at FTX Arena, then Embiid’s comeback will get more importance for them. The Sixers with their starting center are a menace and the Heat are well aware of that.
