  • John Stockton lauded Stephen Curry as the best player of all time
  • Curry has established himself as the leading three-point shooter in the NBA
  • Stephen Curry will be looked at to help the Warriors get back to their championship groove

In what comes as a classic show of greatness recognizing greatness, former Utah Jazz point guard John Stockton gave ample props to Stephen Curry calling him the best of all time.

Speaking on the Gonzaga Nation Podcast, Stockton lavished praise on the Golden State Warriors superstar.

“When you watch Steph Curry, it’s very difficult to not be enamored with that. It’s pretty special what he can do shooting, getting open; he’s one of the best of all time, frankly.”

Over the years, Curry has established himself as one of the leading three-point shooters in the league and has set the NBA all-time record for most three-pointers made in his career at 3,390.

When he forayed into the NBA, the league wasn’t that prominently used in gameplans but has over time evolved into a necessity. And Curry embraced that ideology draining three-pointers at will.

And that gives every reason for Stockton, who has admitted to not watching games, to tune in and watch the sharpshooter in action.

Can Stephen Curry Lead The Golden State Warriors To Another Championship?

After their disappointing second-round exit in the playoffs at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Warriors made a string of changes in their roster. They started off trading away Jordan Poole and landed seasoned veteran point guard Chris Paul in the process.

The team made strong moves by signing Draymond Green to another multi-year contract and retaining Klay Thompson, the Warriors have the lineup to assist Curry and win another title.

And Curry himself has been vocal about how the Warriors intend to plan in the upcoming season.

“It’s unprecedented in terms of three core guys trying to keep proving people wrong and that we have what it takes. We’re in that season again. We’re the hunter now, not the hunted, and we’re trying to embrace that.”

Now, it’s about how they go about their business in the Western Conference. It’ll be interesting to see if Steph, Klay, and Draymond can use new additions like Paul and Dario Saric to make a deep run once again.
