Kawhi Leonard is one of the most stoic basketball players of all time. It has been an internet joke for years that Kawhi si actually a robot because of his very business-like approach to the game of basketball. We don’t see Kawhi on social media or making high-profile public appearances at events across the world. With his injury last season, we didn’t even see him on the sidelines that often.

No matter how introverted an athlete may be, media requirements are something they have to fulfill. Kawhi has had some hilarious moments in his interactions with the media, his iconic laugh at a Raptors press conference being the one everyone remembers. There may be a contender to that moment as Leonard has made an appearance on a foreign cooking show as part of his media commitments with New Balance.

Leonard appears on the show with his Uncle Dennis (also his agent) as Kawhi seems to be trying his hand at cooking Chinese food. For a man that can often be seen with a stone-cold expression on the court, Kawhi did seem to have a lot of fun at this shoot.

Leonard spent the entirety of last season out with an ACL injury that he suffered against the Utah Jazz in the 2021 Playoffs. The Clippers failed to make the playoffs in 2022 due to injuries to Kawhi and Paul George.

The Clippers have one of the deepest wing rotations in the league with the team equipped to play a really hard-nosed style of basketball with a lot of gritty 3-and-D specialists.

The offseason is time for Kawhi to get his endorsement commitments out of the way as the season is going to be a very important one for the Clippers. They need to make a move towards their inaugural NBA Finals this year, otherwise, people will have to start questioning whether this team was a bad idea to construct.
