Kendrick Perkins Calls Out Dennis Schroder After He Rejected $84M From The Lakers

2 Min Read

As the entire Lakers Nation, Kendrick Perkins was furious with Dennis Schroder’s poor performance in Game 5 of the Los Angeles Lakers-Phoenix Suns series.

The purple and gold lost the game 115-85. Dennis played 26 minutes, going pointless, getting only four rebounds and one assist. His performance raised many eyebrows around the league, and Perkins was ready to blast the German point guard.

Back in March, the 27-year-old reportedly declined a four-year, $84 million contract extension from the Lakers. Instead, he wanted to prove that he’s worth more money, which hasn’t happened so far.

Perk remembered that and took to Twitter to call out Schroder’s ‘audacity.’

“The nerve of him turning down 80 plus million! I mean the audacity,” the former NBA champion wrote on Twitter.

Before that, he blasted the Lakers, saying they were interested in anything but basketball, contrary to the Suns.

“I realized tonight that the Lakers have other agendas and basketball is not one of them. I have to give credit to the Suns tho…they showed up and showed out!”

The Lakers have a lot of things to figure out before Game 6. Unfortunately, they don’t have much time to do so. Frank Vogel will need some magic if they aspire to force Game 7 in Arizona.

Several players haven’t risen to the challenge, including Schroder. The purple and gold will be in huge trouble if they only rely on LeBron James to win Game 6 and the series.
