March Madness brings the emotions out of everyone involved. If the fans get as passionate as they do, the stakes are even higher for the collegiate players trying to make history with their teams. So when invariable losses occur for teams, it’s not uncommon to see players get overwhelmed with emotion and cry.

It is, however, great to see opposing coaches and players console their opponents and that’s exactly what Michigan coach Juwan Howard did after his team beat the Tennessee Volunteers.

Howard embraced Tennessee’s Kennedy Chandler after the game, consoling the youngster and possibly giving him some words of encouragement that he will carry with him for the rest of his career, however it goes.

The video has gone viral on Twitter but that’s not the first time this has happened for Juwan Howard this season, he had another, less flattering video catch everyone’s attention earlier in the season. He was caught on video throwing a punch at a Wisconsin assistant coach. This led to widespread criticism of Howard, with many calling for him to be sacked as the coach of the Michigan Wolverines.

Now that he has gone viral for all the right reasons though, many have urged people to keep the same energy and share this video of his encouraging personality much as they shared the video of his lack of judgment at the time. Kendrick Perkins was a part of that, showing his support to Howard.

“Please let’s all make sure we share this video of Coach Howard like we did the last video of him!!! Real Talk.”

The Wolverines are through to the Sweet Sixteen in the tournament under the guidance of Howard, who is a former Michigan player himself. Coaches and players are often judged too harshly by people, and it is equally important to praise them when they do something worthy of the love.
