Kevin Durant Calls Out A Fan For Saying This Year’s Finals Will Be A “Nightmare” For The NBA: “Imagine Toure Knowing What’s Best For Professional Basketball”

Kevin Durant keeps engaging in Twitter battles, even after the NBA season is finished for him. The Brooklyn Nets superstar just finished a playoffs run where he went off, having incredible performances against the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, respectively.

Unfortunately, the Bucks beat the Nets in a dramatic Game 7. Now that the season is over and Durant is focused on playing in the upcoming Summer Olympics, the player has returned to social media to talk and debate with fans.

In recent hours, he ran into a tweet of writer Touré Neblett claiming that the 2021 NBA Finals will be a nightmare for the league seeing the four teams remaining in the competition.

“Is this not a nightmare for the NBA? None of the big crossover stars are left in the playoffs—guys who casual basketball fans know and want to watch. No Lebron, Steph, Durant, Luka… Only one of the top 15 best-selling jerseys are still playing. This is not good for the league.”

Durant didn’t like this and replied to the writer, diminishing his opinion, implying he shouldn’t be talking about pro basketball.

“Imagine TOURE knowing what’s best for professional basketball,” KD replied.

NBA fans reacted to this, agreeing with Durant. This scenario is beneficial for the league; we’re watching young players becoming stars, veterans who haven’t won get a real chance to win the ring, and more.

At the end of the day, the league is always trying to bring something new to the table. We won’t see LeBron James playing in the Finals at the age of 40, trying to maintain fans entertained.

This is great for the association. The playoffs are for diehard fans, not casual ones trying to watch something different on TV.
