Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers of all time, and he will be a first-ballot Hall of Fame player when he ends up retiring. Most people would agree that Durant is still playing at a superstar level currently, averaging 29.9 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 6.4 APG during the regular season while shooting 38.3% from beyond the arc.

There is no doubt that Kevin Durant is an influential figure in NBA circles. Many people have talked about modeling their game off of Kevin Durant, such as Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans. Kevin Durant has also previously spoken about young players mimicking his game, joking that it’s “bittersweet” as it means he’s “getting older”.

To see other guys say, ‘Yo, I watched you when I was young!’, I was that same kid telling somebody, ‘Yo, I watched you when I was young!’ Sometimes it’s bittersweet cause I’m like, ‘Sh*t, I’m getting older’.

An NBA fan has recently posted a photo of his child wearing a Kevin Durant jersey, and it is clear that Kevin Durant has inspired the basketball youth. Kevin Durant ended up responding to the post, saluting the young hooper and also telling him to go work on his “handles or layups today”.

Salute!!! gotta go work on your handles or layups today

Salute!!! gotta go work on your handles or layups today

There is no doubt that playing basketball at the highest level requires not only talent but also consistent hard work. Even at a young age, the work must be put in, and perhaps we will see that kid make it to the NBA in the future.

Kevin Durant has recently received a lot of attention due to his trade request from the Brooklyn Nets. He has not been as of right now. Hopefully, Kevin Durant will land on a franchise that is serious about winning a championship with him, and we’ll have to wait to see where the Nets end up moving him.
