Kevin Durant knows what he wants if he ever gets marooned on a deserted island. It’s all pretty much standard to the Phoenix Suns star.

Speaking to the Suns in a rapid-fire Q and A, the veteran was asked what he would need if he was stranded on an island, and the reply was crisp and instantaneous: “Food, water, and my girl.”

It’s pretty surprising that he didn’t ask for a basketball, although he’d have to build a basket to swish the ball in. But hey, it would be a fun thing if he has his girl with him.

The light-hearted session saw the fans get to know their newest player on the block a little more. The same clip also saw him reveal that Michael Jordan was his favorite player growing up.

Kevin Durant Has Been Off To A Good Start With The Suns

Durant’s run with the Suns has been incredible. The forward is averaging 26.7 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 3.7 APG in the three games he has played so far.

Teaming up with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton, he now gives the team and himself a legitimate shot at winning the title — his third and the first for the franchise.

Earlier, he spoke about leadership in the unit after the team registered a win against the Dallas Mavericks. “Leadership is about a group effort,” Durant opined.

“Like we are not going to just look at one guy to have all the answers. I think we can all figure it out as a collective and move from there, and like I said, veteran teams that have been through a lot, that’s seen some stuff in this league, it’s good to have those voices talking in the locker room, so it’s only gonna make us getter. I’m looking forward to keeping building with this team, it’s been fun so far.”

For now, the Suns appear to be on the right track, and it remains to be seen if they can indeed go the distance.
