Kevin Durant once again ruined the balance of the NBA when he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. But just a few games after donning the Suns’ jersey, Durant picked up an injury.

KD returned to the team after missing 10 games due to an ankle sprain. While fans were happy to see Durant return, the Slim Reaper played like a shell of himself vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves. KD shot 1-8 from the field until halftime and even changed his shoes in order to get his flair back in the second half of the matchup.

When he plays, Kevin Durant is the best player on the floor, more often than not. However, after missing 10 straight games, even KD struggled to shoot consistently.

Durant recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists for the game while shooting just 5-18 from the field. Considering the fact that Durant struggled a lot in his first game back since getting injured, the Suns were somewhat lucky to get the win against the Timberwolves.

Devin Booker On The Potential Lack Of Chemistry With Kevin Durant Ahead Of The NBA Playoffs

On paper, the Phoenix Suns undoubtedly have the best roster in the entire league. But since Kevin Durant missed several games due to injury, the Suns’ superteam hasn’t really had a chance to build chemistry this season.

Following KD’s return, Devin Booker gave an honest answer about his potential lack of chemistry with the two-time NBA champion.

“We just hoop,” Booker said. “We make reads. We make plays, and we start with a structure and our sets. He fits right into that, and he knows what we’re doing. We kick it at the crib, but we’d done that before. Kev was somebody that I’d pull up on even when we weren’t teammates.”

If the Suns want to become the champions of the league this season, they need Devin Booker and Kevin Durant to be on the same page throughout the playoffs.

Although the two superstars haven’t had the time to play many games together, they shouldn’t need a lot of time to click with each other.
