Kevin Durant is having a nice time with the Phoenix Suns despite having one of the most difficult rivals in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs. The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the most dangerous teams in the league this season, and they already stole Game 1 of the series.

KD and co. responded in a big way in Game 2, showing everybody why they are serious championship candidates this season. Speaking of his chemistry with Devin Booker and co., Durant mentioned that playing with other superstars before really helped him.

“Playing with guys like Steph and Klay and Russ and Kyrie and James, all of that stuff has prepared me to play with guys that can do multiple things out on the floor,” Durant said on Wednesday, via Mark Medina of Sportsnaut. “But the common denominator is all of those guys are efficient players.”

He had the chance to share touches with incredible players, becoming an NBA legend in the process. As one of the greatest scorers of all time, KD is a threat to anybody, but he’s also capable of doing more for his team.

The 2x NBA champion knows he can do a lot on the court, and he tries to impact the game not only with his scoring but also by facilitating for his teammates.

“I’m much more than a scorer. So I think I’ve always evolved. If I’m handling the ball and don’t score in that possession, it still feels like I created a lot of stuff for my teammates,” Durant said. “I can definitely take my shots like I normally do. But with the attention I get on the defensive side of the ball, I have to figure what my looks are and how I approach each possession. It’s been fun. It’s always been a mental game.”

This is why the Suns are a huge threat to the Western Conference and the rest of the NBA. They have a terrific Big 3 that has shown they can compete and beat anybody. They hope to recover home-court advantage tonight with a win over the Clippers.

Kevin Durant Is Going Against Los Angeles Clippers In The First Round Of The Playoffs

This series is one of the most entertaining of the first round of the NBA playoffs, as the Clippers have put up a good fight in the first two games of the matchup. In Game 2, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant took over, but Tyronn Lue and co. will try to make the adjustments to recover the advantage they had after Game 1.

Russell Westbrook is playing great defense this series, and Kawhi Leonard is showing flashes of his 2019 version. If the Clippers can play the game the same way they play Game 1, the Suns will be in trouble. They’ll need to extend this matchup as much as possible to see if they can get Paul George back, but the Suns have different plans and want to put the Clips out before they have the chance to get PG back on the court.
