Kevin Durant ruthlessly slammed an NBA fan, who fell for a fake tweet in which he was giving reasons for why he is single. When the fan mentioned Durant in the replies and told him to seek therapy, the Phoenix Suns star said the individual lacks mental capacity.
“I won’t call y’all that one word, ima just say a lot of y’all who believe NBA Centel is real just lack the mental capacity.”

Here is the initial tweet from the “NBA Centel” account on X, which has over 59,000 likes.

Unless you pay attention, you might think that this was from a real account. I am fairly sure this fan didn’t realize it was from “NBA Centel,” and he probably will double-check the next time he comes across a post like this.
As for Durant, it is unclear whether he is in a relationship at the moment. He did get engaged in 2013 to former WNBA player Monica Wright, but they broke things off before getting married.
The last individual Durant reportedly dated was Cassandra Anderson, a few years ago. Since then, not much has been heard about him being in a relationship. It could be that he has kept things under wraps very well or is just not interested in being in a relationship for some reason.
Kevin Durant Spoke On His Future With The Suns
Let’s now switch to something we know a little more about: Durant’s NBA career. The 35-year-old has continued to perform at a high level in this 2023-24 season for Phoenix. The campaign hasn’t quite gone according to plan for the team, though, and Durant was asked whether he would want to finish his career with the Suns.
“I mean, I’ve been on so many teams now and I said this before, right now in this moment today without thinking about the next minute, yeah,” Durant said. “But that’s just saying right now and I can’t really predict what may happen, but I love playing in Phoenix, I love the fan base, the city.”
“I’ve grown to understand what our mission is, being in the valley, and how deep these people care about their team,” Durant added. “So, I started to understand the history of the Suns and I’m glad to be a part of it. I want to go up in that Ring of Honor one day, so however long that takes.”
Durant, who is averaging 27.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game this season, would either have to stay with the team for the rest of his career or win a championship to get that honor. Both don’t seem all that likely to me, though.
The Suns have underwhelmed this season and are currently eighth in the standings in the Western Conference with a 43-31 record. While injuries have hurt them, they just don’t look like a contender and don’t really have a lot of flexibility when it comes to this roster to make significant changes.
While Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal should get more comfortable playing alongside each other in the coming years, two of the three are in their 30s now. Beal has struggled to stay on the court this season and things will only get worse in that regard as he gets older. So, if the Suns have a couple of disappointing seasons, I could see Durant thinking about going elsewhere in order to win a championship.
