- After attending a Snoop Dogg concert, KG pulled an all-nighter hanging out with the Dogg Father
- Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders was not happy with KG’s performance
Kevin Garnett is without a doubt, the greatest player in Timberwolves history. KG was a sensational talent, who brought his fiery spirit and competitive streak to the court every night.
He brought the Timberwolves the most success in the history of their franchise. But one night, he neglected his playing duties to spend a night partying with one of the greatest rappers of all time.
During an interview with Snoop Dogg, Kevin Garnett shared a story of how he went to a Snoop Dogg concert the night before a game in Toronto.
KG and his crew ended up hanging out with Snoop all night, which led to Garnett performing poorly during the game. Flip Saunders, Timberwolves head coach had a hilarious remark when talking about KG’s performance.
“This is probably the most unprofessional sh*t I’ve ever done. We get to motherf**king Toronto. Yo, Snoop is in town, Snoop playing tonight, like for real? Oh hell no, we got to get some tickets. We go to the show, and the whole show banging, Snoop killed that sh*t. I think we hung out till like…”
Snoop Dogg responded saying, “N***a the sun came up. I looked out my window. These n***as still here, the sun is up.”
Garnett added, “We played the Toronto Raptors at noon. Halftime, I’m leading the league in rebounds. I have no rebounds. Flip (Saunders) says “You guys, Toronto Fans get to see you once. God damn, come here playing like sh*t. You motherf**kers hanging out with Snoop! You f*cking got Snooped!”

Garnett clearly struggled during the game, as he wasn’t able to play at his usual pace. And Flip Saunders was definitely upset that KG had spent the previous night partying with Snoop Dogg.
Kevin Garnett Found Success, But Not In Minnesota

KG was a 10-time NBA All-Star and made 8 All-NBA Teams with the Timberwolves. And he even won the 2004 NBA MVP award.
For as great as his run with the Timberwolves was KG was more successful as a Celtic. During his time with the Celtics, KG averaged 15.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
Garnett was a 5-time All-Star when he was the Celtics, and made the 2008 All-NBA First Team, along with 4 All-Defensive Teams.
