Kevin Garnett named his impressive list of his All-Time starting five, and unsurprisingly, it included himself and Paul Pierce.
Speaking on KG Certified alongside New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley, picked his all-time starters. “I’m going to say, Sam Cassell is my one, Latrell Sprewell is my two, Paul Pierce at three, I’m gonna play the four, and I’m gonna put my best friend, or one of my good friend, Joe Smith at the five.”

It’s worth noting that all of the players who Garnett picked were either from the Timberwolves or the Celtics. The forward’s picks were bona fide superstars in their own right. Here’s a quick look at all of their career averages below:
1. Sam Cassell: 15.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists
2. Latrell Spewell: 18.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists
3. Paul Pierce: 19,7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists
4. Kevin Garnett: 17.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists
5. Joe Smith: 10.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists
Garnett was a force himself as he went on to carve a niche as one of the most ferocious dunks and his incredible athleticism.
Couple these with finesse, skills, and high IQ plays that the remaining four players were capable of, and his All-Time five are formidable at best.

Kevin Garnett And Paul Pierce Feel NBA Players Without A Championship Shouldn’t Make The Hall Of Fame Cut
Not the one to mince his words, Kevin Garnett and his former teammate and podcast co-host, Paul Pierce, believe that an NBA star without a title to his name shouldn’t make the Hall of Fame.
“Being in the Hall of Fame and then being here with the championship it’s solidified,” Garnett said on KG Certified. “That’s 360 to me. Not to say or disown anybody else in here, but I feel they go together. These are arguably the best players to ever touch the rock, and to be in here, and to be considered one of them, with the championship, is icing on the cake.”
This was seconded by Paul Pierce: “I’m not even sure I want to be in the Hall of Fame without one of these. We’re talking about the best of the best, in accomplishment, the highest accomplishment you can accomplish as a team. Like I feel that this should be the entry. You can’t come here without one of these. That’s just my opinion.”
That does come as a tad bit unbelievable since some of the stars to have played in the NBA have been scintillating. The likes of Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and John Stockton may not have had titles to show, but they were some of the best of the best in the league. But it’s just opinions at the end of the day.
