Several players in the NBA have bonus clauses in their contracts. Similar was the case with the Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown.

Brown’s current 4-year $106 million contract with the Celtics had a bunch of incentives. The 26-year-old made $2 million in bonuses following the Celtics’ Thursday night victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. ESPN’s Bobby Marks broke down the incentives in one of his recent tweets.

More often than not, whenever bonus clauses are inserted into players’ contracts, they tend to be unrealistic. Fortunately, the Celtics did no such thing with Brown. Moreover, Brown has a chance to make an additional $1.1 million in incentives once the 2022-23 NBA season ends.

Considering the fact that Brown is having a sensational season, as he is averaging 26.9 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 3.4 APG, he should be named at least one of the three All-NBA teams.

Combining that with the chances of the Celtics making a deep postseason run, Brown looks destined to hit the check marks for his additional $1.1 million incentives.

The Boston Celtics Are One Of The Best Teams In The NBA

Led by the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics have been rampaging through the 2022-23 NBA season. They recently faced off against the first-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

The Tatum-Brown duo helped the Celtics utterly dominate the Bucks. With the game finishing 140-99 in favor of Boston, fans hailed the Celtics as the best team in the league right now.

The Celtics now have a 53-24 record, and they hold the second seed in the East. Considering the current form of the franchise, it won’t be a surprise if they advance to the NBA Finals this season as well.

But will they be able to win the NBA Championship this time around? Well, in a few weeks, we will find out about that.
